In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Ghana showcased varying performance trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides detailed insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Fidelity Mobile Banking saw consistent weekly downloads, peaking at around 5.5K in the week of January 31. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained strong, with notable weeks including January 10 at 4.8K and February 28 at 4.4K. Weekly active users increased steadily throughout the quarter, starting from 24.6K at the end of December and reaching approximately 30K by the end of March.

SC Mobile Ghana experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads, particularly in mid-January, where it jumped to 3.3K from just 3 downloads in the last week of December. The app maintained this momentum with weekly downloads ranging from 2.7K to 3.6K, although there was a drop to 965 downloads in the last week of March. Active users saw a peak in mid-January at 120.4K, with a gradual decline to 75.7K by the end of March.

Ecobank Mobile App had a steady performance in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 1.6K and 2.8K. The app saw a notable peak of 2.7K downloads in mid-March. Active users showed a consistent increase from 14.7K in late December to approximately 17.5K by mid-March, ending the quarter with around 16.8K.

GCB Internet Banking had a unique trajectory, starting with minimal downloads in early January and spiking to over 2K in the last week of January. This trend continued with another peak of 2.3K downloads in late February. However, downloads dropped significantly towards the end of the quarter, recording only 276 downloads in the final week of March.

CashBook: Business Ledger Book maintained moderate weekly downloads throughout the quarter, ranging between 354 and 726. Active users showed a steady rise from 1.5K in late December to a peak of 2.1K in mid-March, before slightly declining to 1.9K at the end of the quarter.
